What I understand (and I might be mistaken) is that simple mapi isn't still activated in Mozilla (backend exists but there is no association with the OS) while it is on Netscape branch (see bug 108275). For example, "send to email" is SendMail feature, right? And it really works on NS 6.2.

yes it's what you meant and yes works,when you open n6.2 mail it asks if you want to make it the default mail programm and any mail link in any oder browser and/or program opens net 6.2 mailer
