Steps to reproduce:

Right click in any image.
Save Image As...
Save.
Go to Downloads.
There's nothing.


Actual results:

Save Image As don't save on first time.

Save again. Works.


Expected results:

Save image on first time.

It works for me (OSX), but the notification stuff is definitely half-broken. I get a "Download started" notification after the download has finished, and the downloads button is never coloured blue (but the download is saved, at least in my case). I used https://images.google.com/ to test, and searched for "tulip" then picked one of the first images to save.

I works on Windows. I only can reproduce this on Linux (openSUSE). I have this issue about one week or more.

Is there any log or other stuff to add here?

Can you reproduce with a clean profile on your linux machine? If so, can you figure out when it broke using mozregression ( http://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/ ) ?

Works fine for me on 38.0a1 (2015-01-21), Ubuntu 14.04

Firefox must be showing only a file (file view). If image is inside a HTML works.

On non-e10s works fine.
