While I haven't tried to reproduce this bug, it certainly doesn't sound like bug 85226. Take a look at the screenshot in that bug and see what that one is really about.
agreed, this is different from 85226. bug 85226 is referring to the preview image of the theme within the Themes panel. this bug is referring to the fact that the Themes panel itself being clipped on the right side [at least for me, on linux rh7.2, 2001.11.28.08-comm, modern theme]. will attach screenshot...
