mozilla cannot be configured to run helper applications with comman-line options or doing so is not clearly documented

The above URL will launch the appropriate application when opened with Navigator
4.77 if the browser is configured to use the following helper app for the
"application/x-vmware-console" MIME type:
/usr/bin/vmware-console -o %s
In mozilla, no action is taken whatsoever (the browser remains blank and the
helper app is not launched). Removing the "-o %s" option, launches the
application but with the wrong command-line, of course.
