With these settings in preferences: user_pref("keyword.URL", "http://www.google.com/search?q="); user_pref("keyword.enabled", true); I type in "test case site:fool.com" in the URL dialog and nothing happens. If I remove "site:fool.com" or use "keyword: test case site:fool.com" instead, the search completes correctly on google. I also tried "test case site;fool.com" to see what would happen and got this error dialog: "www.test case site;fool.com" could not be found. Please check the name and try again. When using Netscape 4.75, both "test case site:fool.com" and "test case site;fool.com" both work fine (sending all keywords to the keyword search engine). Both Mozilla 0.9.6 and Galeon 1.0 have this problem.
->networking, maybe.

->browser general. This should go to whoever owns the internet keyword feature. can you find it's home? -> new. I've seen stuff like this before. When this feature is on in prefs, then they make some decisions about what is sent to the search URL, and what gets left to the default behavior. For example any two-label domain (hostname.com) is never sent to search. So for example other "." deliniated data structures, like numbers with decimals (3.14) will never go to the search URL.
