Is there significant value in keeping this open? It is very much outdated, with 32 new DHTML bugs alone in the last 2 years, but only one marked here as a blocker. Seems to me like it should be closed out.
I agree. Nobody has stepped forward to take it over.

Removing bug 21762 as it concerns DHTML performance, and that is no longer a major issue for dynamic menus on current builds. Resolving this bug report Invalid as Gecko has improved greatly since the time of this bug report, and we can consider dynamic menus to be working very well now. If there are any further issues with dynamic menus, I would suggest dealing with them in a new meta bug, or in some other way, as this bug report is no longer tracking bugs.
