User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 Build ID: 20150219070749 Steps to reproduce: 1. Visit https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/demos/detail/bananabread 2. Load any map 3. Add a bot 4. Play for a minute or so Actual results: Firefox 38.0a1 (2015-02-19) Nightly will crash Expected results: Firefox 37.0a2 (2015-02-19) and Chrome Canary do not crash.
What do you see in about:crashes for these crashes? I assume this is with e10s turned off? (Otherwise pointer lock is broken.) With e10s off, I see much slower frame rates, and memory usage seems higher, perhaps just collected more slowly. Could be bug 1120115 if an OOM is what you are seeing.
I can reproduce the crash. Latest Nightly: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/986e840a2979 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 ID:20150219070749 bp-d8dbd8b0-4c4e-41ed-88dd-757602150220 without HWA bp-e84bfafe-4cee-4a0a-9dec-891a22150220 with HWA And point to Bug 1133190. m-c tinderbox build which is including Bug 1133190 patch. https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/56f090df5480 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 ID:20150219155341 And no crash with/without HWA. However, When you play for a few minutes, no longer sound (Bug 1134263?).
Confirmed, BananaBread is no longer crashing in FF 38.0a1 (2015-02-21). The patch for Bug 1133190 probably fixed this too. Bugs like this, sound Bug 1134263, and e10s pointer lock bug, show that BananaBread is an excellent stress test. Alon, thanks for fixing it up.
