Apparently, using an unwinder thread for profiling is unnecessarily complicated. We should remove it, but first we need to make sure that we have a native stackwalking solution on Linux without the unwinder thread - at the moment, LUL doesn't work without the unwinder thread (bug 1141712).
I think bug 1141712 took care of this. A code search for "unwinderthread" yields zero results.
