Bug 1137715 is a P1 and blocking 2.2+ - triaging this one the same since it's and often used feature This is a recurring issue across the OS in RTL

This problem also exist at FTE. When you enter ".", "@" or other characters into email box at FTE "Create Account or sign in" view, these characters appear at the left end until we type another character.

This is a duplicate of Bug 1137021, which I have submitted a patch for.
