This is a tracking bug for work needed for Enabling In-line Editing On Personal Toolbar. No estimate provided.

The above was for (2 of 2). Implementation involves creating (1 of 2): a) special inline edit binding (most of code for this already in hand) that can position an edit control. Time to finish and hone positioning - 2 days. b) creation of code in the outliner widget to handle launching of the edit widget, and handle what happens when widget is closed (notify outliner view) - 4 days c) documentation of API for others (there are many interested clients) - 1 day. d) Personal toolbar inline edit involves task similar to b), but creating attached to toolbars. This could be cut. Assume work also takes 4 days. Estimate: Minimal - 7 days. Maximum - 11 days.

We're dropping PT inline edit, are negotiating inline editing of bookmarks in general.

Can we give this a regression keyword, since we used to be able to hit F2 to rename a bookmark, and we no longer can?

I don't think so. The outliner never has had inline editing.

That's kind of annoying, because the loss of the resulting functionality (easy way to rename a bookmark) is a regression.

I don't think so. That bug is about editing in the Bookmarks menu, while this one is about direct text field editing in the Manage Bookmarks window.

WFM - "rename" is shown on bookmark manager's toolbar

Inline editing for all bookmarks/folders in Bookmarks Manager is available now, so closing this as WFM
