When a CMAS emergency alert is received, only a popup alert on UI is displayed. The alert is not audible at all. According to section 9.4.1.2.1 of TS at [1]:
NOTE 2: Emergency user alert includes alerting tone and other user alerting means such as vibration, according to the UE"s capability. The types of alert (e.g. the kind of tone, vibration, etc) are implementation dependent and may be subject to regulatory requirements.
Also note that 3GPP TS 22.268, section 4.6.1 states:
The PWS-UE shall support a dedicated alerting indication (audio attention signal and a dedicated vibration cadence) and be distinct from any other device alerts and restricted to use for Warning Notification purposes.
