Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:37.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/37.0
Build ID: 20150404092546

Steps to reproduce:

Open a flash window (like a Youtube video) in fullscreen mode. Change window focus.

This seems to be related to Linux and a workaround has been posted here: http://christianiversen.dk/2013/07/flash-is-terrible-how-to-fix-fullscreen-flash/

Making the substitution after a Firefox install or update resolves the issue.

Actual results:

Fullscreen flash window closed.

Expected results:

Flash video should still be in fullscreen mode.
Component: Untriaged → Flash (Adobe)
Product: Firefox → Plugins
Version: 37 Branch → unspecified
I can reproduce with Firefox 31.5.3 and Adobe Flash 11.2.202.457 on GNU/Linux on amd64.

This becomes a bigger issue when you have more than one display, as then you can't leave Flash on fullscreen while you do something else at the same time on the other display
I can reproduce with Firefox 39.0 (Fedora 22).

Build ID: 20150728111714

I can reproduce on both Firefox 39.0 and Firefox 42.0a1 on Xubuntu 15.04. Watching The Joy of Coding - Episode 23 [1] on air.mozilla.org using 2 monitors.

Adobe Flash Version: 11.2.202.491

Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
I'm closing a lot of bugs which are filed as Adobe Flash bugs which are either irrelevant, not actionable, or not serious enough to track in the Mozilla bug tracker. For the most part, Flash bugs should be filed in Adobe bugbase, and we'll only track a few highly-critical issues in the Mozilla tracker.
