Build: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0, 20150407030207
Steps:
1. Launch Firefox.
2. Go to about:preferences#sync → Create Account.
3. Fill in the sign up form, submit it and verify your email.
4. Go to about:preferences#sync.
5. Launch Firefox with a a new, clean profile.
6. Log into the Firefox Account previously created.
7. Check the Reading List.
Expected result: All the items from the Reading List associated to the newly created Firefox Account are successfully synced-down to your new profile
Actual result: Reading list is not synced. In the logs I get "Can't sync due to FxA account state UNVERIFIED_ACCOUNT", even though the account was verified

"First profile" is the profile where you created your account, right? It doesn't think you are actually verified. Can you recall how the verification happened (ie, was it in that same profile, or would the link have opened somewhere else)? Was the account verified relatively quickly after creation, or hours later?
Would it be possible for you to zip up every log and upload it? That log is surprisingly silent on everything account related :(

Yes

The verification was made on the same profile, I even got the "Account verified. You are now ready to use Firefox Sync" message in Firefox.

The verification was made within a few minutes

I don't have logs from the account creation/verification process. I only enabled logging when I saw the issue, hence all the logs I have are of that kind.

I restarted the browser (first profile) and now I get "Sync completed successfully". But on the other side I still not get the reading list (even after 15 minutes and making manual syncs). History and bookmarks items are synced only partially, also

Thanks! I did manage to reproduce your original log and opened bug 1152703. After a restart that profile should have started syncing (which I see it did)

It would be great if you can attach any logs from about:sync-log on that other device (it's even possible *that* started working after a restart due to the same bug)

Unfortunately the restart trick doesn't work for the other "device" (second profile) - it still doesn't sync the list

Strange - that looks like a normal, successful "nothing to do" sync.

I'd call this a P2 if it working after a short delay, but if a new user signs up for FxA for this feature but can't get it to work within a few minutes, that's going to feel like it's totally broken. Poor first-use experience.
Priority: -- → P1

It fixes comment 0 but not comment 5.
