This only appears to happen when there are unread items.

The judder is very rapid and seems to change as you move the mouse.

Likely the same issue as bug 1164406, we can look into this once that is fixed.

Bug 1164406 is fixed in the current nightly, so it would be good to check if this issue is fixed as well. Note that bug 1164406 caused some regressions as well so it may get backed out in future builds. If testing please make sure you use a build that has the fix.

I can't reproduce when I set layers.async-pan-zoom.enabled to true and restart.
