Once Bug 1163698 is resolved there will be a separate tool that will monitor pulse and retrigger orange jobs automatically. I don't think there is a need for Autoland to continue to have this functionality as well, I think it's better that we agree on a policy for retriggering jobs and apply it everywhere.

Dan, would you be alright with enabling the trigger bot for just the autoland user as our initial rollout? I'd be ready to do it this week.

Sure, let me know when you are ready. I can disable the autolanding retriggers by commenting out a line and then actually remove the code as a follow up if everything looks good.

I've done a few more tests on my own try pushes and have things set up on heroku to turn this on for additional users with an environment variable. Dan, can we try a hand off tomorrow, around 11 AM PDT?

Sorry, I don't think I'm going to be around today, let's give this a try Monday.

We did the switch this morning and everything's looking good for the one autoland try push that's come in since then. I'll keep an eye on things and report back later in the week.

I've kept a pretty close eye on this all week, and everything's working as expected. Dan, it's probably safe to take out the triggering code in autoland whenever (we always have it in version control if something crazy happens).
