The issue is we need a testcase to try to reproduce the bug and debug. Without, it's hard to do something...
This test case is drawn from an email message discussed in this SuMo thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1090559
The message contained three adjacent tables. In other words, there are no non-table elements between the tables.
Attempting to select/copy/paste a table without starting from and ending with a non-table element results in at least one table pasting only as a set of row elements. When saving as a draft or sending from Gmail, the table structure collapses.

I don't really understand the testcase. I can only select a table with the mouse, not all the 3.
I can select all the tables with Ctrl+A, that's all.
Apologies for the delayed response.
The problem illustrated by the test case is the difficulty (impossibility?) of successfully copying and pasting a _single_ table, particularly the middle table, when the table you want to select is immediately adjacent to another table. What you paste in the editable area below the tables isn't a complete HTML table. I guess you need to use the Inspector to confirm that, but you can see from the missing header row shading that the <thead> element isn't included in the paste, just the <tr> element it contained.
