I think this is a regression from 39.

Disabling hardware acceleration fixes the problem.
I have an Intel integrated graphics card (device ID 0x2e22).

Marco, do you think you could do a bisection using moz regression?

I've noticed some artifacts are present since the introduction of Australis (between 2013-11-17 and 2013-11-18)... They're not quite as visible as those in the screenshot though, but it could be the dark theme that makes them more visible.

More visible artifacts seem to be present on 2014-11-18 and not on 2014-11-17.

It's fixed now, I think because my gfx card has been blacklisted for Direct2D: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1180379
Do you want to investigate this further to solve the underlying problem or should we call this fixed?
