User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 Build ID: 20150513174244 Steps to reproduce: 0. Sync via FxA is set up and you have a few passwords saved and two devices (tested with Desktop Firefox 38.0.1) connected to your FxA. 1. Add some password in one Firefox and let them sync. 2. (Maybe do this a bit later to notice it - one day is a good time span) Sync the other Firefox client (including passwords of course). Actual results: The last used and the last changed dates are wrong. They are both set to the time of syncing the second client. Expected results: The timestamps of the last use and the last change should both be synced too so that I will see the correct date and time. Maybe this could even solve (or at least has something to do) with bug 973166 because if you sync the timestamps correctly you can also compare them correctly and use the latest change of the password. The same of course is useful if you change the same passwords in two Firefox instances and they are later synced with a small delay, so that you will have 3 different passwords (online in sync, device one, device two). With a correct time stamp you can compare them and decide what is the newest one and use this one.
So now I had a small look on the usage count and the first use date which are also accessible via the password manager. And - in some kind I already expected it - the first use date was in most cases exactly the same date as the last used date and the usage count was 1. In some cases where I used the password more than once the dates where different - but in one case the "first use" date was even newer than the "last used" date, so there is certainly something wrong. And just as a note: On the other device I used many passwords much more, so the usage count is there much higher. So finally I can say: None of the "meta data" of password are synced - neither the timestamps nor the usage count. I think this should really be fixed and everything should be synced there.
Summary: Sync doesn't sync the last used and last changed dates of passwords correctly → Sync doesn't sync the password metadata (like timestamps of the latest usage or usage count)
