The default font size for mail headers (and for mail boxes) is much too large. There appears to be no way to change the font size. Yes, I have read http://www.mozilla.org/unix/customizing.html#fonts and have tried everything listed there, but it does not change the size of these fonts. P.S. I am using NS 6.2 to report this bug, but it is the same in Mozilla.

The link you refered to is not related to the font size in thread pane. It is just a workaround for a problem in Linux system fonts. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 18454 ***
