Build: 2001-12-26-06 linux RH 6.2
I created two pop accounts with the same server but different accounts. I did
not see any problem. worksforme.
To the person who confirmed this bug and the reporter:
If you are creating a 2nd account from accounts and settings, we only ask for
the incoming server. We do not ask for the outgoing server again. Attach the
screen shot with the error message and also exact steps to be able to see this
problem.
Can you provide the exact steps to able to see this problem?

Reporter comments via email:
OK. I created an account at aplawrence.com for the user name "tony". That
works.
I then choose "Create New Account", again giving it aplawrence.com but this time
user "pcunix".
Attached message box which says that an account with the same server and user
name already exists- and it does not.
However- if I tell it to create "fred" (which I don't need)- that works.. no
clue what causes this.. if you can't duplicate it maybe whatever is confused
will turn up again some other way.. I can get around it for now

Can you attach the screen shot in the bug. And any furter comments just
update the bug so that the engineer also knows what is going on. Thanks.

Sorry I can't seem to make this a more simple case.
Interestingly, if I transfer http://pcunix.com/Reviews/mozilla.html to my
system and use Open->File, it never screws up,
Over the internet it does, though a reload or two will fix it.

Unfortunately I cannot duplicate the problem. In the Account Wizard after
selecting the first radio button to create an "ISP or other email" account there
are a number of dialogs. Which one reports the error?
1. Identity dialog
- Your Name
- Email Adress
2. Server dialog
- Incoming Server
- Outgoing Server
3. User Name
4. Account Name
5. Summary dialog (Finish button)

It's the final "Finish" that it errors.

Here's a wild guess. http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108387 is
about how renaming a POP account with a user name that is bigger than the
previous name doesn't work. Perhaps the same check is happening here. "pcunix"
is longer than "tony" so it fails but "fred" is the same so it works.

I couldn't reproduce the problem using 01/17/2002 build and I even used the
exact same names provided by reporter.
