Details
I'm using a more or less basic mandrake-8.1 install, running WindowMaker.
The summary says it all: View->Show/Hide->Navigation(disable) leads to the
"accelerator keys" (Alt+F, Alt+E, Alt+V, etc...) no longer working. I have
to click on View and reenable the navigation toolbar to get the accelerator
keys working again.
I can hide all the other components OK, it is definately just the navigation
toolbar that kills it.
XFree86 4.1.0. The problem definately existed 0n 0.9.6, and I'm pretty sure
I first noticed it on 0.9.5 (didn't ever try it on any earlier version).

Is this a problem in 0.9.7?

XP Apps. Confirming for investigation.
Reporter, could you try creating a new profile with "mozilla -profilemanager"?
Does that fix the problem?
