In Xwindows/Linux, selecting text copies it to the clipboard. This is
troublesome when trying to copy/paste URL's into the URL bar since selecting the
URL in the URL bar with the intention of deleting it overwrites any URL you have
in the clipboard waiting to paste.
Konqueror gets around this problem by placing a small button next to the bar
that clears the bar and sets the focus/cursor into the bar without ever
selecting the text. Thus, the clipboard is not overwritten and you are ready to
paste. This would be a very handy feature for anyone that uses Mozilla in
X-windows.

Just a note. middle-mouse-pasting a url into the content area will load that
url (so there is no reason to put it in the url bar to start with).
