We currently use the same style for alert() and prompt() messages on all platforms. For Windows 8 and 10, it makes sense to move to a more integrated look. We don't need to do exactly the same thing as Edge (see attachment), but it we should move into a similar direction.
Why? The original intent was to make these look explicitly non-native and instead generically / consistently web-like. It's purely an accident that Windows 8 made flat design more in vogue converged towards what we implemented. No general objection to updating style, but I think we should stick with those principles unless we want to revisit the thinking.
