As a user, when my phone is stolen, I would like to login to find.firefox.com and activate the "Kill-Switch"
Note: As of 2.0, FMD already provides the ability to perform a number of verbs on the device remotely. Kill-Switch would be an additional verb

What is the difference between "Lock" and "Kill Switch"?
"Lock" already provides the ability to optionally set a note and either use the device's existing lock code or set a new one if a lock code is not already set.
How will user's know what "Kill Switch" means?
Should we provide a "Lock" and "Unlock" ability?
If we do, we may need the device to report if it's locked or not.

"Kill-Switch" is a place holder.
We will need guidance from UX/UI but one option is to rename lock to "Lost Mode". "Lost Mode" could let the user lock the screen as well as provide the user the option to erase.

For a first implementation I would prefer to use existing methods to lock:
user should be able to define a new 4 digit code from website
user should be able to set optional text to be displayed on the device
if the user did not have lockcode enabled before on the device, the lost mode enablement should enable lock code on the device.
the unlock mode already gives the user a panel to enter the code and also allows emergency calls.
