I think this should be renamed to "more user-friendly diffs", and made to be something along the lines of: Changed description from "A" to "B". Added bugs 4000, 42 to depending on list. Diff output with the way it shows surrounding text works well with source code, but the extra text is useless for Bugzilla - a few well chosen fields would be better to give context. In my opinion it's best described as a quick and dirty hack. Don't get the impression that I have something against quick and dirty hacks. =) But long term, given an infinite amount of free time, a more intelligent diffing mechanism would be useful, especially if we start seeing non-programmers receiving these notifications, such as would happen if bug #7345 was implemented. If you agree, the bug should not be closed even if warren's proposal were implemented.

As for including information about the dependent bugs in the notification, bug 28736 covers this. The rest of this bug was nullified when newemailtech was introduced. moving all closed Bugzilla bugs to the new Bugzilla product. This batch is DUPLICATE/INVALID/WORKSFORME/WONTFIX reassigning to default owner and QA in case of the bug being reopened.
