On the main pane (the conversation area) of IRCCloud, I've started seeing grayscale AA on font rendering. I'm on Nightly 2015-07-29 (OSX 10.10.4) and I started seeing this 2 or 3 days ago.

I've seen bug 1172014 but I think this is different, as there are parts of the page that are correctly getting subpixel AA.  Also, before any scrolling happens (just as the page has loaded) the rendering is correct. After I scroll the content a little bit, it goes to grayscale.


Note: You can see from the screenshot that the highlighted messages in the conversation area also are rendered correctly, it's only the messages against the white background. And the side panels look correct too.

I see this problem whenever I switch channel in irccloud, then it goes away after about five seconds

This might be a dupe of bug 1122916. You can try disabling layers.async-pan-zoom.enabled and see if it goes away.

This looks fixed to me, probably by bug 1122916 as kats said.
