If you've switched to a new Firefox version in the profile we should very quickly check for new system add-ons.

Don't we do that as part of the compatibility check which happens at startup with a new version? Or maybe we used to do it, but stopped in order to speed up start-up?

System add-ons are checked through a different mechanism.
