Port over tests that make sense. Ensure we have a decent amount of code coverage for the tests
To be clear, this is a bug which requires new automation. When going remote, we have lost the ability to run mochitests for newtab functionality. We have unit tests for the remote side of things and unit tests for the firefox side of things (including mochitests) but we lose the ability to do integration testing. For instance, we'll need a way to test whether different versions of the remote newtab page works with the versions they are intended to work with.
