I thought there was already a bug for this, but couldn't find it. Users should be able to stop a drag event and have everything revert back to normal by pressing escape. STR: Start dragging a node in the markup view Press ESC Expected: The drag stops Actual: The drag continues
Yes there is a bug for this: bug 1176785. I originally was only about not dragging root nodes, but the patch also contains the logic to stop dragging when ESC is pressed.
