STR: (Win7_64bit, Nightly 43.0a1 32bit ID 20150828030205, new profile) 1. DoubleClick on searchbar's dropmarker (magnifier icon) Result: Popup with search suggestions (or items from search history) appeared. Expectations: Popup with search suggestions should appear for a moment and then collapse. Formally it's regression, because old searchbar suggestions could be collapsed by DoubleClicking on dropmarker. But I don't set it as keyword, because NEW searchbar was implemented with this bug.
The first click closes the panel, the second click reopens it. Is there a reason why closing with a double click is something useful to preserve? I would be willing to review a simple patch for this.

(In reply to Florian Quèze [:florian] [:flo] from comment #1) > The first click closes the panel, the second click reopens it. I hope you meant "The first click opens the panel, the second click closes it only if it wasn't doubleclick." In my str the initial state of Searchbar is "Closed". When I DoubleClick on the magnifier dropmarker, I expect the panel to show on first click and collapse on second click, > Is there a reason why closing with a double click is something useful to preserve? because the old searchbar mechanism (as well as all other dropmarkers in UI and web pages) does so.

On the latest nightly, double clicking the magnifying glass opens and closes the pop-up, which is what this bug wanted, and is consistent with other menus etc in Firefox.
