[Blocking Requested - why for this release]: It seems impossible to prevent download in Gaia because there is no event/API to System app before downloading. The problem here is not downloading, it's we don't have File Manager or Download Manager in TV build. However, on a commercial TV, it might have. If we want to avoid downloading anyway, I'm afraid that it's a feature request and can't meet 2.5 time line. Set it to 2.5?

The Dropbox link in comment#1 can't be opened on a Panasonic TV. Test with the zip file in comment#6 failed, either. They both displayed page cannot be opened error. So from the test results I assume Panasonic has blocked file downloading on TVs. CMIIR, we currently don't have an mechanism in Gaia to cancel downloads and we probably need gecko to expose API for this task, and we need to define the UX about this. Since Panasonic has handled blocking downloads, I suggest we move this to 2.6 or later.

Move to 2.6?
