From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20011221 BuildID: 2001122106 Icons with a transparent color are painted without the transparency in the address bar as well as the bookmark list. The icon I'm using to test this is available at http://www.birdbrained.org/favicon.ico, and is 16x16x256. This icon appears correctly in IE6 (which is not necessarily a ringing endorsement - CSS worked in IE but not Mozilla until I realized my stylesheet was incorrect) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Visit http://www.birdbrained.org 2.Add site to bookmarks to make Mozilla grab the icon 3.A restart may be required to make the icon display. Actual Results: The icon I created displayed, but the green color I set as transparent displays instead of becoming transparent.
The favicon has transparency when I go to http://www.birdbrained.org with build 2002011607 on w98. I guess this problem has been fixed since 2001122106.
Indeed, after being directed to the nightly builds, I see the icon in all it's transparent glory. (Build 2002011604). I'm going to close this bug.
