*** observed with 2002-01-17 build *** Steps to reproduce: - bring up a message compose window; - into "To" line type the list name; - wait till it autocompletes by description; - hit enter; - enter some text into Subject line, body and hit "Send" //note : an error message that prompts to verify your Mail/Newsgroup settings or click "Cancel". I'll attach a screen shot of the error message. It happens to me in plaintext/html mail
2002-01-17-06 build on win98 I am able to send mail to a mailing list. Are you using a different character coding other than the default?
no, i don't. That's the confusing part. I send out a message with ascii list name, and ascii text in it. The encoding is Western.
i am not able to reproduce this bug with a new profile, though with my old profile this bug shows up it today's build as well.
After seeing this problem on marina's machine, it looks more like an address book issue. Assigning this to ninoschka.
