Bug 1171344 brought the new search field to about:home and about:newtab. However, the new right-click menu from bug 1110771 is missing and should be implemented to match the behaviour.

Also with Activity Stream it's still an issue. Is there a better meta ticket where I can add this ticket? Or should this be reported on GitHub?

I guess search hand-off will be the new default behaviour so this report is no longer relevant.
