Currently we have a custom implementation for tabs: TabMenuStripLayout. This one is a bit over-complicated to use and TabLayout from the Android design library is getting more testing coverage and maintenance attention.

This is a WIP for this, where the TabLayout integrates fine, but the visuals and animations have some problems. I'm currently not working on this, but have been meaning to pick it up...

Is the bug resolved already? If not can i work on it as my first bug?
