Per bug 1200164, comment 8 it would be great if Firefox developer builds (i.e. with MOZILLA_OFFICIAL not set) have Telemetry enabled by default. This may not be easily doable though per bug 1200164, comment 7 and bug 1200164, comment 12: Builds from external distributors would not set MOZILLA_OFFICIAL, but should still not have Telemetry enabled by default.
Priority: P3 → P4

As of this writing, developer builds record (but do not send) Telemetry by default to aid with development and testing.
