Description: If the user mutes a youtube video, the player will automatically un-mute after approximately 1 minute. This issue does not appear to be related to the screen timeout, because it still occurred after only 1 minute, after I had increased the screen timeout to 2 minutes. The time also does not appear to be exactly 1 minute, as I have once seen it occur after only 56 seconds, so the time may not always be exactly the same. Repro Steps: 1) Update a Aries to 20160111111358 2) Open the Browser app and navigate to YouTube.com 3) Select a video that is at least 2-3 minutes long. 4) Begin playing the video, then mute the video. 5) Wait for the video to finish. Actual: After approximately 1 minute, the video will un-mute itself, and audio will begin playing again. Expected: The video remains mute and silent for the entire duration of the video. Environmental Variables: Device: Aries 2.6 Build ID: 20160111111358 Gaia: 260e51a4262f75341e037e583dfc8f6835b5ab31 Gecko: 5acc2a44834ce0614f98466475e674517daf0041 Gonk: a19052e4389c3ae2d8fc3e7a74a475401baacc56 Version: 46.0a1 (2.6) Firmware Version: D5803_23.1.A.1.28_NCB.ftf User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:46.0) Gecko/46.0 Firefox/46.0 Repro frequency: 7/7 See attached: Video (URL). don't see how this could have anything to do with the media stack. muting being handled by youtube JS. Especially the commit in question. I have my doubt that it's a gecko issue

It also doesn't happen on desktop
