From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.8+) Gecko/20020131 BuildID: 2002013103 How do you import mail and news settings from other profiles? My situation: Computer crashed (not Mozilla's fault, but it was open). When I rebooted and opened my profile in Mozilla, it reported an unterminated literal in the prefs.js file and opened the default profile. I closed the browser and opened the prefs.js file in notepad. Sure enough - an unterminated preference was followed by about 200 lines of garbage. I placed the appropriate quotes and the requisite semicolon, deleted the garbage and attempted to start my profile. Mozilla started with no problem but my 4 mail accounts are gone now! The files are still in the appropriate directory under the profile, but no messages are displayed and there are no accounts available from Mozilla. I tried to start a new profile and copy the mail files over to the new one... same problem. The files are not imported to the new profile. How can I accomplish this? For instance, when I update to a new build, how can I transfer my mail settings and sent and received messages with me? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Create new profile, copy the mail files over, nada Mail files: (mail\\local folders.msf, mail\\subdir1\\inbox, mail\\subdir1\inbox.msf, mail\\subdir2\\inbox, etc) Expected Results: In NS 4.x, if there were files in the mail directory of the profile, they were automatically recognized. I guess this is not the case with Mozilla (I also tried this with NS 6 & 6.1 when they came out, but had similar problems)
