RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1222171

This might be the same underlying issue as 1222171, but this made it all the way to the released version of Firefox 44. Both a stock Mozilla build and the Ubuntu build exhibit this issue. Tested with Firefox 43, 45, and 47 from Mozilla. They all work fine, so maybe the fix made it to later releases? This occurs in our training environment (which like bug 1222171) is a remote desktop/VNC setup. https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/1f3076e4-b63d-4d9f-a1ba-7a3162160127

Bryan, to confirm if this is the same issue as bug 1222171 can you please take the Nightly build from November 5, 2015 and the Nightly build from November 7, 2015? If it reproduces in the build from the 5th and not in the build from the 7th then it's likely the same or related. Thanks

November 5, 2015 build - fails with GFX1 error November 7, 2015 build - works fine

(In reply to Bryan Quigley from comment #2) > November 5, 2015 build - fails with GFX1 error > November 7, 2015 build - works fine Thanks Bryan, this implies that either these are the same issue or this issue was fixed by the patch in bug 1222171. Unfortunately I think it's too late for this to be fixed for Firefox 44 since it's already been released. We may be able to nominate it if we plan to do a point release but it's not likely that this issue would be considered for a point release on its own. Worst case scenario, you'll need to wait for Firefox 45 to be released in six weeks or use the Beta in the meantime.
