Details
When reading http://toc.oreilly.com/2013/02/the-publishing-industry-has-a-problem-and-epub-is-not-the-solution.html (the main point is that epub is superfluous, because aside from DRM plain HTML5 can do the same and better) I found that one thing I am missing from the Reader View is a paged mode.
IMHO, Reader View should really look and behave like EPub readers on Android (e.g., https://fbreader.org/FBReaderJ) with flipping pages and indicator of the progress on the bottom of the page.
It seems to me that the paging should be possible with some amount of CSS3, shouldn't it?

Actually, thinking about it more, what I really care about is not whether the view is paged or not (and progress is somehow recorded looking at the scrollbar), but that reader should preserve last position on longer pages (or very long pages, basically whole book in one page) between sessions. That would make this actually duplicate of bug 857990 which has been WONTFIXed, because apparently "We're not going to continue to invest in the reading list, ...".
Oh well.
