At the moment we have a pretty crappy and long list of links at the top of each page. We should find ways to improve that and make it more user-friendly.
This would be a good mentored bug for someone wishing to do some front-end work.

Seems like the first line of the description is about aesthetics. That's fine, but I'm not sure I understand what "more user-friendly" entails here or how to determine a course of action.
Adrian: Is this still important? If so, can you clarify what is hard to do now and what could be made better?

I don't think it ever was important, as it's just the admin page and there must be about 5 people who look at it regularly. But the navigation sucks, that list of links has been ever growing, and so finding something a little easier to use would be nice. I don't remember if I had more specific ideas about that, but Lonnen enjoys thinking and discussing Socorro UI problems, so he might have opinions here?

I'm scoping out nixing our custom-built admin for the Django admin. We're in the process of moving data from alembic/sqlalchemy to Django. Having the Django admin will make that easier plus give us access to other data, too.
Given that, I'm going to WONTFIX this.
