User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:46.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/46.0
Build ID: 20160425115046
Steps to reproduce:
Firefox 46.0
Xubuntu 15.10
From MozillaZine:
> Middlemouse.scrollbarPosition
>
> True: Center the scroll position on the location of the middle click.
> (Default for Linux/Unix.)
>
> False: Do nothing. (Default for all but Linux/Unix.)
My value is and has always been true. Making a B1 click above or below the scrollbar withing the channel has always scrolled a page while B2 (middle mouse button) has always positioned the contents at the cursor position. In 46.0 this is now broken. B2 does nothing and B1 positions the content/bar at the cursor rather than scrolling a page. B3 scrolls a page as B1 used to do. Changing Middlemouse.scrollbarPosition to True or False has no effect. it appears that the mouse button code has been seriously screwed up.
This change in behavior is causing serious navigation problems. Please verify and restore the old behavior.
Actual results:
Mouse scrollbar behavior has changed.
Expected results:
Previous behavior needs to be restored.

FF46 supports Gtk3 now, are you using this library on your machine? If yes, it could be a dupe of bug 1197590.

Yes, GTK+ 3.0 is on this system. Agreed that this is the same problem as bug 1197590.
So, let's dupe it.
