Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0
Build ID: 20150817061040

Steps to reproduce:

need to know if latest nightly builds supports SSE/SSE2 and AVX which still works with e10. multi process is set to 16 on a quad core i7 cpu 3770k, e10 enabled. no way to tell if cpu using sse2/avx

Actual results:

my firefox session have over several hundred tabs. upon restoring session only single thread being used for around 15-20 seconds before multi process kicks in, when multi process kicks in only loads for few seconds on all cores, then back down to 1 thread again for another 20 seconds finally finish loading everything.

Expected results:

need to support SSE2/AVX for better firefox performance with multi process, beginning to end all multi threaded take full advantage of the cpu cores.

Firefox already uses SSE2 and AVX in many places. Without a specific suggestion this bug isn't really actionable.

We'll evaluate the usefulness of this when it comes out.
