security status indicator doesn't get updated when changing tabs

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a http: URL 
2. open/change-to other tab
3. open a https: URL
4. change back to first tab
   

Actual Results:  security indicator still shows "secure" state
although page actualy viewed is plain http:
while the secure https: page is on an inactive
tab now

Expected Results:  security status indicator should be updated 
on switching tabs to indicate the status of 
the tab thats actualy displayed
