User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.103 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: any web page, just open inspector. Note: I have two computers with completely different hardware and the failure occurs in all. Note 2: Only occurs in "developer edition" x64 and x32 bits Actual results: the inspector is empty, only show exit button (look img) Expected results: open the inspector, elements, menu, etc.

I add a file "error2.png". This appen when I press Ctrl+Shift+J (Its empty too)
I found a "solution". If Im dowanload a EN version this works; this is a problem with the ES version. (ES-AR in my case)
I have reproduced it with https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-central-l10n/firefox-50.0a1.es-AR.win32.installer.exe. I am unable to get the error info too. It also does not work using a different language pack. The difference: firefox-49.0a1.es-AR.win32.installer.exe works for me.

(In reply to tilt.3d from comment #6) > Maybe the SO ? Im in Windows 10. Nope, I use Windows 10.0.10586.
Remember in firefox developer not work, in "normal" firefox works for me.

Confirm in "https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-central-l10n/ > firefox-50.0a1.es-AR.win32.installer.exe" not work

(ES-AR in my case) This must be the same or a similar thing as Bug 1279459. In that case, the webconsole.clear.key got a translation that was intended to be an identifier: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1279459#c3. It's especially unfortunate because it's in the console so we can't open up the Browser Console to see the error (though it should be visible in stdout if you run from the command line). Documentation about localizing these values has been added here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Localization/Localization_content_best_practices#Developer_tools_key_shortcuts.

Hi Marcelo, are you working on this bug? Just want to make sure there's a plan to get this fixed since it's affecting all es-ar users.

It sounds like at least 49 is affected.
I have the same error in windows 7 pro 32 bits
I sent an email a few days ago to want about the error, but I didn't get any reply. At this point I'll go in and fix the accesskeys in Pontoon, leaving the NI open to make sure Marcelo is aware of what's going on.

Thank you. We are also going to turn this error into a warning in bug 1283186 so it won't break the toolbox when this happens.

Thanks, that's really appreciated. The issue should be fixed in the next build of DevEdition https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n/mozilla-aurora/es-AR/rev/c575672875d3
I was trying to find out what was happening. Thanks for solving it. It's working now.
