I'm on Mac NightlyFx50 and Beta Fx48
1. load 3 or more large google docs or sheets into multiple tabs
2. do more browsing or opening more gDocs pages.

actual: mac cursor starts spinning and browser isn't very responsive.  I get slow script dialog at times.

expected: speed should be similar to Chrome, where I don't get this slow down.

Hi Edwin,

I cannot reproduce the hanging problem from my firefox 48.0 neither on Mac os 10.10.5 nor Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
My reproduce steps as below:
1. Open three docs
2. Repeat step 1 for more than 10 times to open 30+ tabs
3. Choose one doc to browse, edit, scroll, and create new pages

Sometimes the responsiveness will get slower but I didn't get slow script dialog. Do you have any regular steps to reproduce the issue you encountered?

I don't get the slow script every time but I get a busy cursor when scrolling and the performance becomes unusable.

So this is about slowness after those google docs have been loaded, right?

yes, performance gets slow (e.g. 1sec when click on different tabs) and often you'll see busy cursor (beach ball spinning) when you scroll.

Can't reproduce on linux

(Loading all those 3 at once is slow, and the time is mostly in JS, as usually with google docs)

Any chance you could
- use Nightly
- disable async stacks in about:config. pref name javascript.options.asyncstack,
- install geckoprofiler https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Performance/Profiling_with_the_Built-in_Profiler and create a profile using is when this issue happens.
Or anyone who can reproduce.
