User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:48.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/48.0 Build ID: 20160726073904 Steps to reproduce: Upgraded to FF48 I previously used the about:config pref to turn unifiedcomplete off. Actual results: Turning off unifiedcomplete no longer works. That means I now have an annoying "visit" link at the top of the suggestions. I consider this a significant loss of usability, because my "muscle memory" now drops me on the title page of any site i want to go to instead of the correct address from my browsing history. Expected results: Before the pref was removed, an *easily accessible* option should have been added that allows turning off the annoying visit and search links in the url bar.

We pre-select the first entry, like any other browser in the market, thus your muscle-memory is not broken cause it takes the same exact keystrokes to reach the same exact results as before. The visit entry can likely be hidden through a userChrome.css hack, I've seen some around that should do. We think the advantages of clarifying the urlbar behavior to the user are worth it, and there is a reason if almost all the browsers are indeed doing that. If you have any suggestions on small changes to the current design we could do to help with your accessibility problem, please name them and we'll gladly listen. For example I think you may want something like bug 1206882. I'm marking as a wontfix, cause currently there's no plan to revert the change. As I said we are listening to feedback though.

Now that FF48 is out and unifiedcomplete=false no longer works (bug 995095), can someone please share the "userChrome.css hack" that was suggested to get the old URL bar behaviour back? Thanks.
