STR: 1. open at least two tabs 2. type something in the location bar such that the autocomplete popup appears 3. hit ESC 4. switch to some other tab 5. switch back to the original tab expected result: the typed text should still be there

Hmm, I didn't try particularly hard to get into this situation but don't remember having seen this before, so I think this is a somewhat recent regression.

Can someone provide additional detail on when this was last working? I went as far back as 42.0a1 mozregression --bit 32 --good 2015-06-29 --bad 2016-06-06 ERROR: Build was expected to be good! The initial good/bad range seems incorrect.

Hi :dao, Since it seems to me that you've fixed a few location bar related bugs, not sure if you can help on this or have any further investigation about this bug.

Bug 651956 caused this, so Mounir should probably look into this. One of the other people currently working on the location bar (:adw, :florian, ::mak) might be well equipped to pick this up too.

I see I'm being hunt down down from a regression I caused 5 years ago :) Unfortunately, I do not have the bandwidth to look into this.
