From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.8) Gecko/20020204
BuildID: 20020204
Compose a new message, change the From: field to another identity, save the
draft and close the Compose window. Go to Drafts folder and click on that
message. Check that the From: field contains the correct identity at this
moment. Edit the draft and you can see that the From: field contains the
identity of the present account instead of the identity chosen beforehand.
Reproducible: Always
Sounds like bug 112737... not sure whether that was fixed in 0.9.8

It is the right one, but was fixed in January, and this build from February.

But it doesn't work with my 20020304 built. After reading bug 112737, it seems
that this case of "Edit draft" isn't taken into consideration. So, this isn't a
dup of that bug and needs to be fixed too :)
I use Ctrl+E (Edit Draft) often - and I have my account in From - not
default-first_one among my multiple accounts. With the yesterday's build it also
works. What account shows in From? Is it default one? Would you please check
today's build?

I mark it WFM. It works fine with recent builds.

I use 20020313 but the problem is still there. However, I think I found out the
cause of the problem. Actually, I don't like the idea that every account or
newsgroup has its own Drafts and Sent folders. Maybe I'm so used to N3 and N4
that I still can't accept such arrangement: I like as few folders as possible (a
la Outlook Express). So I configured Mozilla such that all drafts are
centralised in Main Account's Drafts folder, and all sent messages are
centralised in Main Account's Sent folder.
So the problem can be summarised as this:
Suppose we have two accounts, "Account A" and "Account B", with their respective
identities as "Name A" and "Name B". Now configure "Account B" such that its
Drafts folder is in "Account A".
Compose a new message and change its identity to "Name B" if it isn't already.
Save the message and close the compose window. Here you should be able to see
that the message is in "Account A" Drafts folder with "Name B" as sender. But
when you edit this draft, its identity is changed back to "Name A".
So the bug is that Mozilla doesn't care about sender identity in drafts.
