Details

If I open an https:// page in a tab in the browser, the lock icon stays open. And clicking it does not show that the page displayed in the tab is secure. This makes it difficult to buy online. I generally open the Google window in the main pane and each of the possible vendors in separate tabs to compare prices. I then pick one to purchase, but cannot check the security of their site.
